True Sons of Freedom
In commemoration of World War I, this exhibit features photographs of African American soldiers from Virginia who fought overseas to defend freedoms they were denied at home. On special loan from the Library of Virginia.

Produced in partnership with the local Hispanic community, this exhibit with a modern day theme will examine such topics as music, food, holiday traditions and other subjects important to the local community.
|September 27, 2019 - February 20, 2020
Produced specifically for the 400th anniversary of the founding of the colony at Jamestown, this exhibit will look at the first inhabitants of this area, the Native peoples that lived here. Sections will include a reproduction Yeehawken for children to experience, an explanation of the hunter-gathering lifestyle practiced by the Native American, and the various roles men, women and children played in the family unit.
